As a newcomer to Canada, Schler Ali felt welcomed and loved, and was focused on becoming fully independent. The Mosaic Newcomer Family Resource Network helped make the transition as a newcomer easier.

Amira and her husband’s lives changed when their daughter, Talia, was diagnosed with Down syndrome. The West Island Association for the Intellectually Handicapped (WIAIH) was there for them.

Parenting can be tough, but having a community can help. Kam shares her experience with the Nobody’s Perfect workshop offered at the Malvern Family Resource Centre.
