Governance at Families Canada

Families Canada is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board is composed of dedicated professionals and community leaders, who provide oversight and strategic direction to ensure that Families Canada adheres to the highest standards of good governance and financial integrity. The board also ensures that our strategic vision aligns with the needs of the families and communities we serve. Director bios are available on our website and are filed with Industry Canada.

The President and CEO manages all operational matters and reports to the Board. The CFO, a Chartered Professional Accountant, reports to the CEO and provides support to the Director of Finance and Administration. Operational and financial reports are presented to the board quarterly.

Annually, Families Canada's audit is conducted by an independent auditor and the audited financial statements are presented at the public Annual General Meeting.

We adhere to the highest governance standards, ensuring our policies and practices reflect our commitment to ethical conduct, financial integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
