Session Overview

Join the Youth Digital Compass team from McGill University for an interactive 60-minute workshop designed to bridge the gap between academic research and everyday digital media use for youth. This session moves beyond basic "screen time" rules to explore the complexities of the current digital landscape. Through evidence-based insights and hands-on walkthroughs of the Youth Digital Compass tools, participants will learn actionable strategies to support youth navigating cyberbullying scenarios and discussing relevant media literacy. We will focus on shifting the perspective from simple monitoring to fostering proactive upstander behavior, ensuring everyone has the tools to guide children toward safer, kinder, and more intentional online practices.
